Albuainain,Ibahim Qassim, Saudi Aramco’s Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing Visited the Company
On August 7, Albuainain, Ibahim Qassim, Executive Vice President of Global Manufacturing at Saudi Aramco, led a delegation to visit FREP. The delegation also included Saleh Zaid, President of Saudi Aramco Asia and Taha Al-Anous, Director of Technology and Manufacturing Oversight Department.
Company Chairman Zhang Xiguo, Acting President Lin Xu, Vice Presidents Li Ji and Haytham Zamzami warmly received the visiting guests.
Zhang Xiguo extended a warm welcome to Albuainain, Ibahim Qassim and his delegation, highly commending the performance of the senior executives seconded by Saudi Aramco to the joint venture. He expressed gratitude to Saudi Aramco for sharing its health, safety, and environmental management model for downstream business, which provided FREP with an opportunity to learn from the advanced management practices of its shareholders.
During the meeting, Zhang Xiguo briefed on the Company’s future development plans and engaged in in-depth discussions with the visiting guests on topics including the revamp and optimization of old units, addressing market challenges, extending the industrial chain, and unleashing refining capacity.
Lin Xu introduced the Company’s development history, organizational structure, and an overview of production and operations to the guests, expressing gratitude to the Saudi for its long-term guidance and support in both current operations and future development. He stated that FREP will continue to steadily advance towards its vision of "becoming a globally competitive world-class petrochemical Company" with the support of its shareholders.
Albuainain, Ibahim Qassim mentioned during the talks that the photos of his visit over a decade ago displayed in the exhibition hall evoked a deep sense of familiarity. He highly commended FREP’s outstanding KPI performance and expressed appreciation for the efforts of the management team and all employees. In response to the severe and volatile market conditions, he emphasized that the joint venture must prioritize safety to ensure stable and secure operations of its units amidst the impact of neighboring refineries’ expansion. Saudi Aramco has always placed paramount importance on safety management, focusing not only on equipment reliability but also requiring on-site personnel to fulfill safety responsibilities, covering both full-time employees and contractor staff. He expressed hope that all shareholders would share best practices to assist FREP in integrating and applying them to its operations.
Albuainain,Ibahim Qassim stated that the shareholders are highly attentive to the medium- and long-term development plans of FREP and will fully support the Company in its operations, planning, and development efforts. This aims to deliver stronger performance for shareholders and further consolidate and deepen cooperative relations among them.
During the meeting, both sides also engaged in in-depth discussions on topics such as safety management, carbon emission control, and future development planning.
