On August 4, the Company held a welcome ceremony for new employees joining in 2025, extending a warm welcome to them.

Company leaders Zhang Xiguo, Lin Xu, Li Ji, and Haytham Zamzami attended the new employee welcome ceremony.

Chairman and Party Committee Secretary Zhang Xiguo delivered a speech. He first extended congratulations to the new employees joining FREP in 2025. He put forward five requirements for the new employees:

First, emphasize learning and enhance professional competence. You are encouraged to ground yourselves in frontline work, stay closely connected to field operations, learn from books, practices, and colleagues around them, continuously improve professional competence, and enhance problem-solving skills in practical scenarios;

Second, prioritize safety and solidify the foundation. It is essential to uphold the "safety first" principle as a red line, strengthen bottom-line thinking, proactively participate in safety and environmental protection training programs and emergency drills, enhance emergency response capabilities, and ensure both production safety and personal safety.

Third, emphasize experience and work diligently in a down-to-earth manner. The ability to accomplish tasks and the skills to achieve success are honed through continuous practices. You need to engage in more reflections, summarizations, and hands-on tasks to elevate your capabilities and become a pillar of the Company.

Fourth, focus on innovation and dare to explore and act. You need to leverage your strengths of active thinking and bold innovation to generate more achievements in process improvement, management process optimization, and new product research and development, thereby contributing to the Company’s quality and profitability improvements initiatives;

Fifth, emphasize control and discipline in both thoughts and actions. Youth is a critical stage for laying the foundation of life. Just be strict with yourself, exercise caution in words and deeds, focus on improving personal qualities, and cultivate a solid and exemplary work style to lay a strong foundation for future development.

Zhang Xiguo expressed his hope that young employees should set their aspirations on professionalism, hone their skills, embrace the spirit of innovation, uphold safety and environmental responsibilities, and foster teamwork. May they thrive in the FREP family and join the Company in creating an even brighter future.

Acting President Lin Xu advised new employees: First, prioritize safety both in mind and in practices, develop the habit of "thinking before acting", and let rigorous safety awareness serve as the first shield for personal protection. Second, practice the corporate culture, integrating youthful dedication into the surging tide of the Company’s development to become FREP members of the same heart and mind. Third, maintain a "beginner’s mindset", seek guidance humbly, study diligently, and master robust skills to grow and excel swiftly on the broad platform provided by the Company. Fourth, be law-abiding individuals who grasp the "master switch" of world view, life view, and values, fastening the first button of your career correctly.

Vice President Li Ji encouraged new employees to cherish the opportunities, live up to their youthful aspirations, and dedicate themselves to their work with full enthusiasm, high morale, and a pragmatic approach. He urged them to pour their sweat and efforts into the fertile ground of FREP, write brilliant chapters, and achieve resonance between personal growth and the Company’s development.

Vice President Haytham Zamzami delivered a welcome speech on behalf of OOP, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning and bold innovation. He called on new employees to embody the corporate spirit of "teamwork and pursuit of excellence", apply academic insights to practical scenarios, explore innovative and digital approaches, and collaborate effectively with future colleagues to jointly create excellence for the Company.

At the meeting, Acting President Lin Xu introduced FREP’s corporate culture and the Corporate Culture Building Model to the new employees.

Heads of relevant departments presented their expectations and requirements for the new employees.

Representing the 2024 cohort of university graduates, Huang Xu from Aromatics Business Team and Hong Kai from the Comprehensive Maintenance Group of Mechanical Department shared their insights and experiences based on their academic and professional journeys, offering learning suggestions to their peers.

The meeting also featured a meticulously crafted video by the new employees, which included not only detailed self-introductions but also their aspirations for future work. It expressed their joy in joining FREP and their strong willingness to contribute to the Company’s high-quality development.

Going forward, the Company will conduct a series of comprehensive training sessions, including introductions to core policies and regulations, HSE education, and corporate culture publicity. These initiatives aim to help new employees integrate more quickly into the FREP family and rapidly grow into competent petrochemical professionals.

It was reported that among the 83 new employees, 55 hold associate degrees, 13 hold bachelor’s degrees, and 15 hold master’s degrees. (By Zhang Lei)
