On July 15, the Company held the launch ceremony for the 2025 Annual Innovation Day event at the Technology Hall.

Company leaders Lin Xu and Suchart Phowatthanasathian attended the ceremony and, together with leaders from relevant departments, lit the lamp to inaugurate the 2025 Innovation Annual Day event.

Acting President Lin Xu of the Company expressed affirmation for the Innovation Day event. He pointed out that with the successive commissioning of domestic integrated refining and chemical projects and the substantial release of production capacity, market competitions are becoming increasingly fierce. We must remain steadfast in our goals, work together, and drive innovation with greater urgency across all aspects—ranging from production safety, operations and management to quality and profitability improvement, costs reduction, and expense control—to achieve rebirth and transformation amidst intense competitions.

Regarding innovation efforts, Lin Xu emphasized three key requirements: First, adhere to a problem-oriented approach, closely focusing on "what is lacking to ensure safe and stable production, what can be done to improve quality and profitability, and what is needed to drive corporate development", target challenges and make targeted efforts.

Second, ensure tangible results by promptly sorting out and analyzing good ideas and suggestions from employees, turning golden ideas into golden outcomes, thereby enhancing their sense of participation and recognition.

Third, maintain focus on the core tasks and initiatives. This year, the Company’s most critical task is to reverse losses and increase profits, and the most fundamental initiative is cost reduction and expense control. Every employee must consciously adopt meticulous budgeting and rigorous cost scrutiny in all actions, striving to carve out a path toward profitability.

Lin Xu emphasized that innovation secures initiative and the future. We must continue to build the Innovation Day brand, inspire the spirit of innovation among all employees, and pool collective wisdom and strength to support the Company’s critical battle for improving quality and profitability and reversing losses and increase profits!

At the ceremony, Wu Ting, Chairman of the 2025 Annual Innovation Day Organizing Committee and General Manager of Finance Department, outlined the work arrangements for the Innovation Day. He expressed hope to lead the Innovation Day team in redoubling efforts to gather more ideas and implement them effectively, providing robust support for achieving the Company’s annual goals.

The team for the previous year’s Innovation Day event also reported on the event’s outcomes, covering aspects such as publicity efforts, idea collection and review.

At the ceremony, collectives and individuals awarded the Best Team Facilitation Award and the Edison Awards (First, Second, and Third Prizes) during the previous Innovation Day event were also commended. （By Zhang Lei）
