Delivering Coolness in the Heat, Warming the Frontline Employees with Care
Amidst the relentless scorching heat, the dedication and hard work of frontline employees have remained a constant concern for the Company. On the morning of August 21, Company leaders Lin Xu, Suchart Phowatthanasathian, Li Ji, and Haytham Zamzami visited production frontline sites to conduct offer comforts to employees. They delivered cooling beverages and heartfelt care to employees working under the extreme heat, conveying the Company’s care through tangible actions and reinforcing a "heartwarming safety net" for summer production.
With deep concern, Lin Xu and Haytham Zamzami successively visited the Field Operator Rooms and production sites of the Fuels-I Business Team, Utilities Business Team, Olefins Business Team, Electrical Operations Group, Polyolefins Business Team, Polyolefins Product Packaging Line, Fire Brigade, and EOEG Team.
At the Field Operator Room of the Fuels-I Business Team, they greeted each on-duty employee, inquired in detail about unit operations, and emphasized the importance of rigorous 5S management and standardized construction of the Field Operator Room. They reminded everyone to take precautions against the heat, instructed contractors to stagger work shifts, and stressed the imperative of maintaining absolute safety compliance.
Addressing young field operators with Olefins Business Team, Lin Xu offered warm encouragement: "Field operator marks the starting point of your career. The team should transform this space into a nurturing ‘growth platform’, allowing new employees to feel care and strength within the extended family of our joint venture".
At Electrical Operation Monitoring Center, they focused on inquiring about summer power supply guarantees, emphasizing the challenges posed by high temperatures, lightning, and heavy rain to power operations. They called for meticulous maintenance to solidify the foundation for stable equipment performance.
In the Field Operator Room of Polyolefin Business Team, Lin Xu and Haytham Zamzami emphasized the need to seize market opportunities, enhance efficiency and profitability while ensuring safety, and increase production of high-value-added products to support the achievement of annual targets.
Upon seeing the firefighters standing in neat formation with high morale, Lin Xu and Hai Shen expressed heartfelt gratitude for their contributions to safeguarding the 2024 TA/revamp. They further encouraged the team to intensify training and remain ever-vigilant, striving to build an "iron-clad firefighting force" dedicated to safety.
Meanwhile, Suchart Phowatthanasathian and Li Ji, along with their delegation, brought refreshments and words of encouragement to the Field Operator Rooms of Fuels-II Business Team, Aromatics Business Team, and Offsites Business Team, as well as to Product Quality Center, Mechanical Department, Engineer Building, Terminals Business Team, and Staff Canteen and security personnel at Gate No. 1.
At the Explosion-Proof Field Operator Room in the old plant area, they engaged in in-depth discussions with employees about unit operation conditions. They encouraged everyone to take the Company’s mid-year work conference as an opportunity to redouble efforts in identifying potential hazards and ensure the safe and stable operation of the units.
At Product Quality Inspection Center, they emphasized that "quality is the lifeline of market competition", demanding meticulous attention to every inspection process to win customer trust through excellent prodcut quality.
Entering Engineers Building, Suchart Phowatthanasathian and Li Ji paid tribute to the engineers from Technical & Planning Department and HSE Department: "You are the Company’s ‘think tank’ and ‘safety guardians’. Leverage your expertise to uphold safety standards and maximize profitability, contributing to reverse losses and increase gains".
That morning, Li Ji also led a team to the Oil City Public Security Bureau to extend comforts to the police officers on duty.
At every stop, the leaders warmly shook hands and engaged in heartfelt conversations with employees, commending their quiet dedication. They also instructed relevant departments to optimize heatstroke prevention measures and staggered work schedules in line with high-temperature conditions, ensuring employees remain in optimal condition for their tasks. To effectively implement summer labor protection, the Company’s Labor Union, distributing heat-relief publicity materials, tea beverages, soda water, and cooling agents to deliver the "family-like" care directly to the frontline.
A warm greeting touches hearts, a thoughtful gesture fuels motivation. This high-temperature care initiative not only brought refreshing relief during the scorching summer but also deepened employees’ sense of belonging and cohesion within the corporate family.
